Values, Mission & Strategic Plan


Values are the principle beliefs we have about what is important to us individually for us to experience and live a ‘good life’. Our values are formed and influenced predominantly by what our families pass down to us, where and when we were born, our socio-economic background and our own experiences as we learn about the world and how we fit into it.

While we have changed our logo to reflect who we are now, our name remains the heart of what we strive to achieve and that is supporting individuals and families to be Valued Independent People.

Over the last 12 months (2011/2012) and in consultation with individuals and families, staff, management and our Board, we have been reviewing everything about how we operate and the way we support you. Our Values, Vision and Mission underpin why we do what we do and the way we do it.

RESPECT – We respect individuals, their families and carers, ourselves and each other

SUPPORTIVE – We strive to create a supportive and caring environment that fosters learning, growth and personal achievements for all individuals, families and staff

TEAMWORK – We succeed through working together

SAFETY – We ensure the safety of all individuals, staff members and visitors


Vision, Mission Statement and Strategic Plan

June 2012 saw the end of our previous Strategic Plan and after consultation with everyone involved with the organisation, we set about creating our new Strategic Plan from 2012 to 2015.

Just as you are the centre of any support plan we assist you to develop, the centre of an effective Strategic Plan is a clear vision (What do we want to achieve?) and mission statement (How do we wish to achieve what we want?)

Our Vision is that… Individuals, families and carers are valued in the community to lead ordinary lives in extra-ordinary ways.

Our Mission is… To provide flexible, individualised supports and services for people with disabilities, their families and carers as part of the community.

The only questions left to answer now are – what is your vision? And how do you want to achieve it? Start dreaming as the dreams of today are your goals for tomorrow.
